Director Gautham Vasudev Menon is busy with the release of his delayed project, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, starring Dhanush and Megha Akash. This romantic action drama was supposed to release last Friday, on September 6, but unfortunately it had to be pushed once again due to financial hiccups. It is widely known that the director has already made a web series on the life history of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha. We had also reported that this series will be called 'Queen' with Ramya Krishnan in the titular character.

Apart from Gautham Menon, a few episodes in this series is directed by Prasath Murugesan of Kidaari fame. The first look poster of this web series is now out and it looks majestic and royal. We see Ramya Krishnan addressing thousands of people gathered and the poster signifies the series' title. Queen will be streamed on MX Player and it will be their first big product with some renowned names in the cast and crew. The first look poster of Queen has been well received and the fans are waiting to catch it on the digital streaming platform.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Gautham also revealed few other details about this web series. He shared that the music for Queen is composed by Darbuka Siva, thereby marking the blockbuster combo's second collaboration after ENPT. He also added that this series is not a biopic, but a historical fiction created out of Jayalalitha's life and her experiences. GVM said, "That's for MX Player and Times of India have produced it. That was great content. I wasn't initially sure of going into that since this film (ENPT) was going on, but when I read the content, I thought I must.

I called another director Prasath who is a good friend. I directed 6 episodes and he directed 4. It was a lovely collaboration. Queen is a historical fiction kind of thing. It is not exactly madam Jayalalitha's life. It is loosely based on that character and our interpretation of how this character could have behaved in certain situations. The character is called Shakthi and it is shot by Kathir (Kidaari and Subramaniapuram fame), Velraj, and Manikandan, and it has music by Darbuka Siva. Ramya Krishnan has acted as Shakthi along with Anikha who acted in Yennai Arindhaal.

There is also an actress called Anjana who has played Shakthi in the 18-30-year-old phase; Ramya Krishnan comes after that. We have also got Indrajith playing a very big role in this. It is a historical fiction and it is not exactly a biopic."
