Esteemed diretcor Gautham Vasudev Menon is currently riding high on the release of his latest flick Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling. The film starring Silambarasan TR and Siddhi Idnani in lead roles with Raadhika Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav and Aangelina Abraham in supporting roles opened to rave reviews from fans and critics alike as well as the general public on September 15. 

Given the success, he has been involved in many interviews as the film turned out to be a major hit. In a recent interview, when the ace filmmaker was asked when his long awaited film Dhruva Natchathiram is releasing, he said its release got stuck due to some unforeseen circumstances and that it is being looked into and worked on so that it can be expected to release sometime around the end of this year or by January.

This is official statement - "We are done. A lot of effort has gone into getting the footage out and to make the film ready. This coming week, we are going to be sitting and working on the film the whole time. we are going to try and look at the film to see and finish work. Right now CG and some other work is going on. Dhruva Natchathiram is touted to be a spy film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon starring Chiyaan Vikram. The film features music composed by Harris Jayaraj, whereas cinematography handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, Jomon T. John, Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran and editing done by Praveen Antony.
