Four-time National Award winner Kamal Haasan recently underwent a surgery to remove an implant after he met with an unfortunate accident on his right leg in July 2016. The veteran actor has been advised bed rest for sometime and had prior to his surgery taken part in the shooting of his next film, Indian 2, under Shankar’s direction. Being produced by Lyca Productions, the film is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster, Indian, and this time includes music by Anirudh Ravichander.

That said, there has been a poster being passed around as promotional material from Indian 2, which Lyca Productions has now outright denied stating it is not official and neither the production house nor the director and the team is involved with it any form. There are a few references to the 2G spectrum case and the 2016 Indian banknote demonetisation in the fake Indian 2 poster with many taking to social networking forums to post their opinions after which Lyca Productions has now issued a statement to provide proper clarity that they are in no way related to it.
