Dream Warrior Pictures, one of the leading production houses in Tamil cinema, has officially announced its next venture and the update has garnered wide attention on social media. Owned by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu, the company is best known for bankrolling quality projects like Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Aruvi, NGK, Taanakkaran and the recent Nayanthara starrer O2. The esteemed production house is now ready for its next venture, Vattam, which will feature Sibi Sathyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, and Athulya Ravi in the lead roles. The first look poster of the film was released this evening and it looks interestingly done.

The poster features a rugged-looking Sibiraj, alongside Andrea and it looks like this film will be an important outing for both the actors. Vattam is directed by Kamala Kannan who had earlier directed the acclaimed Tamil film, Madhubana Kadai. Vattam will skip the theatrical release and go for a direct OTT release on the Disney Hotstar platform. After Taanakkaran and O2, Dream Warrior Pictures has once again inked another deal with Disney Hotstar and it looks like the successful association shall continue. Vattam will have music composed by the young and talented Nivas K Prasanna.

The shooting of the film has been wrapped up and the final leg of post production is happening in full swing. The film is expected to premiere on Disney Hotstar in July. An official announcement on the same is awaited. Sibi Sathyaraj's Maayon is the latest release in Kollywood and the film is currently running in theatres. Maayon is a mythological thriller directed by debutant N Kishore, featuring Tanya Ravichandran as the female lead.

Apart from Vattam, Sibiraj also awaits the release of Ranger which is directed by Dharani Dharan of Jackson Durai fame. Ranger will have Ramya Nambeesan playing the female lead. For now, check out the first look of Vattam here:
