Bollywood filmmaker and actress Raveena Tandon's father Ravi Tandon died on Friday. He was 86. IANS has reported that the veteran director passed away due to old-age-related issues. The news of Ravi Tandon's death was announced by daughter Raveena on social media, who also shared a few throwback photos of their memorable times together. She wrote in her tribute, "You will always walk with me , I will always be you, I'm never letting go. Love you papa." Leading names from the industry have paid their condolences, including actress Juhi Chawla, who wrote, "Heartfelt condolences to you and your family Raveena... May his soul rest in peace Om Shanti." Amy Billimoria also commented, "Heartfelt condolence," with folding hands emoji, while Juhi Babbar wrote, "RIP Uncle" with a broken heart emoji. Ravi Tandon's last rites were performed earlier in the evening, with Raveena being accompanied by her brother Rajiv Tandon and husband Anil Thadani. Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan and actor Riddhima Pandit had met Raveena after the news of her death had been announced. Ravi Tandon had directed several successful films among which include Amitabh Bachchan's Khud-Daar, Rajesh Khanna's Majboor, Sanjeev Kumar's Zindagi, and Rishi Kapoor's Khel Khel Mein to name a notable few. Ravi Tandon is survived by his wife Veena, daughter Raveena and son Rajeev Tandon.
