Ace filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon is a father to three boys and his eldest son Arya Yohan Menon has now made his debut as a cricketer on the professional grounds. Yes! Arya Yohan Menon who has been into cricket for quite some time, made his debut as a player for Nellai Royal Kings in the ongoing edition of TNPL (Tamil Nadu Premier League). He made his debut in yesterday's match between Nellai Royal Kings and Salem Spartans. Nellai Royal Kings, led by Baba Indrajith, defeated Salem Spartans by 5 wickets. Arya Yohan Menon, a fast paced left arm bowler, picked up his first wicket in his first-ever delivery of TNPL and he couldn't have asked for a better start.

Arya Yohan picked up the wicket of Jafar Jamal who was dismissed through a catch by Sanjay Yadav. Arya Yohan bowled 3 overs and conceded 26 runs with an economy rate of 8.70. The news has garnered wide attention on social media and wishes have been pouring in for Gautham Menon and Arya Yohan. It is indeed great to know that a cricketer is in the making and let us wish to see him on the IPL and National team very soon. Interestingly, Gautham Menon's dropped film with Thalapathy Vijay was titled Yohan and it now comes to our notice that he has named the film after his son.

On the directorial front, Gautham Vasudev Menon is currently working on the highly anticipated Silambarasan TR starrer Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu which is currently in the post production stages. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will showcase STR in a completely different dimension and the fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing it. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu features Siddhi Idnani as the female lead and has Appu Kutty, Siddique, and Neeraj Madhav in important roles.
