The upcoming film of the director Bala is Vanangaan. Vanangaan has Arun Vijay as the lead and the filming of the movie is currently happening in Kanyakumari. Jithin is a coordinator of the film. He had employed nine supporting actors from Kerala to act in Vanangaan and a woman named Linda was one of them. Linda has raised a complaint with police on Tuesday that the coordinator had hit her. Reports stated that Nithin hired the artist to the act in the film for a salary of Rs.22,600. But, the salary was not paid after three days of shoot, stated the actress and when she requested it, Jithin had hit Linda. Following this incident, the supporting actress was taken to a Government hospital and was treated for her injuries and then the actress filed a complaint with the Kanyakumari Police.
Vanangaan is a film that has already involved in a controversy as Suriya was first announced to play the lead in the film. The director Bala then released a statement that Suriya will no longer play the lead and 2D production also backed form the project. The controversy now has become the talk of town. There has been speculation that Bala used to hit the actors in his films and he has also faced backlash for such allegations.
