Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu which was directed by Venkat Prabhu turned out to be a sensational blockbuster at the box office witnessing a large number of audiences visiting the theatres. The film also managed to earn highly positive reviews from the critics. Maanaadu had incorporated the interesting concept of time loop into its story, thereby making it look unique from the other political dramas that we have seen in the past. While the majority have given a thumbs up to the film, it looks like a smaller section of people have not liked the film. A clipping of a man sharing his thoughts about Maanaadu has turned viral on social media, since this morning.

In the video, the man shares that he did not like the repetition of scenes and added that he was unaware of the concept of time loop. He also added that he walked out of the theatre in the interval since he could not connect with the film. Reacting to the man's review, director Venkat Prabhu posted his reply which has won the hearts of the audience. Venkat Prabhu mentioned that all kinds of criticisms should be taken in the right spirit and added that he would try to make his next film more likeable. Venkat Prabhu's tweet read, "All criticism we have to take it in right spirit Prem!! Good or bad!! Namba paakadha criticism ah!! Adutha Padam ivarukkum pudikura maathiri puriyura maathiri try pannuvom @Premgiamaren #SpreadLove".

Venkat Prabhu's next directorial venture will be Manmadha Leelai which stars Ashok Selvan in the lead role. Manmadha Leelai is a quickie that was completed when Maanaadu was put on hold due to the Covid-19 restrictions. The film which features Samyuktha Hegde, Smruthi Venkat, and Riya Suman as the female leads, is fully complete and ready for release.
