Two-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush's next big Tamil film, Thiruchitrambalam, set to open in cinemas worldwide on August 18, is carrying tremendous buzz ahead of its theatrical release, and Sun Pictures is leaving no stone unturned in putting out the word. Directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and also starring Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Raashii Khanna as the female leads, the blockbuster production banner dropped the much-awaited announcement about the film's trailer on Friday, August 5. Sun Pictures has released a special promo video featuring Priya Bhavani Shankar teasing fans that the Thiruchitrambalam trailer will be out on Sunday, August 7, at 7 p.m.

The highly-anticipated Thiruchitrambalam is one of the most exciting films of 2022 as it marks the big reunion of Dhanush and 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander’s 'DnA' combo after their Thanga Magan in 2015. Their previous associations have spelled success and the chart-buster composer's songs in the upcoming film have once again been well-received after the album was launched this past Sunday. With no visuals yet released from the film apart from the song videos, the expectations are high among fans for the trailer to be a fun-filled one appealing to audiences of all ages. Thiruchitrambalam is billed to be a family entertainer and will also see celebrated Tamil cinema veterans like Prakash Raj, who is playing the role of a cop, and Bharathiraja as Senior Thiruchitrambalam. The buzz for the film is huge as Dhanush is fresh off the massive response for his performance in the recently-released Netflix blockbuster The Gray Man, which saw him sharing screen space with Hollywood superstars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans under Avengers: Endgame fame The Russo Brothers’ direction. Furthermore, Thiruchitrambalam sees Dhanush teaming up with director Mithran Jawahar after their collaboration delivered smash box office hits like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran.
