Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam is set for release on August 18 and we are just a week away from witnessing the film on the big screens. The film has got high expectations among the fans and film buffs and after a long gap of 1.5 years, Dhanush will have a theatrical release. With the film's release around the corner, the makers have now made an important announcement regarding the censor details and here are the deets. Thiruchitrambalam has cleared the censor formalities and has been given a U/A certificate. The update was shared through a new poster which has started to do rounds on social media, among the fans.

The teaser Thiruchitrambalam marks the return of the classic DnA (Dhanush and Anirudh) combo who are back together for the fifth time after the huge success of 3, Velai Illa Pattathaari, Maari, and Thanga Magan. The songs in Thiruchitrambalam have already turned out to be big hits, with especially 'Thaai Kelavi' and 'Megham Karukkatha' becoming massive hits. Produced by Sun Pictures on a grand scale, the film has cinematography handled by Mithran R Jawahar, while the editing is taken care of by GK Prasanna. Thiruchitrambalam features three female leads - Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Raashi Khanna.

Among the three, Nithya Menen would be playing the character of Shobana, Dhanush's best friend and the fans are already looking forward to the duo's equation.
