Dhanush and Vetrimaaran have joined hands for their fourth collaboration venture, Asuran, and this time under Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s V Creations banner. Touted to be a gritty and intense action drama, the upcoming film also has GV Prakash Kumar scoring the music. Now, sources close to us have revealed that Dhanush is singing a song titled "Polladha Bhoomi" composed by GV Prakash in Asuran. Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics, which also has vocals by Teejay and Ken Karunas. It is known to all by now that the National Award-winning actor had not long back sung a track for the hit composer turned actor’s next film, Jail, under Vasantabalan’s direction.

An adaptation of the acclaimed Tamil novel, Vekkai, Asuran will see Dhanush in dual roles after his Kodi in 2017 and this time opposite National Award-winning Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, who incidentally will be making her acting debut in Tamil. Although not officially announced yet, it was revealed a while back that the makers are planning to get the film out in theatres on October 2 in light of the Ayudha Pooja week ahead.

The film includes a diverse supporting cast featuring names like reputed director Balaji Sakthivel playing the role of a policeman, Pasupathi, Pawan and actor turned politician Karunas' son, Ken Karunas. Asuran will be the fourth collaboration for Vetrimaaran and Dhanush after their Pollathavan, Aadukalam and last year's Vada Chennai. Excitement surrounding the film has been massive ever since it came to light that the two were coming back together with fans expecting yet another ripper.
