Two-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush has announced his next film, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, with its titles revealed in both languages. A motion poster has been released on Thursday for Dhanush's new film, which has been titled Vaathi in Tamil and Sir in Telugu, and will be directed by Venky Atluri, who is known for his Tholi Prema and the Keerthy Suresh and Nithiin-starrer Rang De. Vaathi/Sir is being produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banner of Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas and is being presented by PDV Prasad. Check out Dhanush's tweet below:

The Vaathi title in Tamil will strike a chord big-time among fans, especially after ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s character in his Master released earlier this year went on to be called ‘Vaathi’ on a number of occasions by several others in the film’s story. Sir/Vaathi will include music by chart-buster composer turned actor G. V. Prakash Kumar, who is coming on board a Dhanush film for the fifth time after their previous blockbusters like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, and Asuran, with the upcoming Maaran also featuring their combo.

Vaathi/Sir will see Dhanush romancing Malayalam actress Samyuktha Menon, with Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani among others cast in pivotal roles. The film is Dhanush's debut in Telugu and has fans mighty excited considering the actor is branching out to various languages, including The Gray Man, in Hollywood next. Samyuktha, who will be seen next in Telugu in Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak, will be looking to strike big with Sir/Vaathi as she was also previously seen in Tamil ventures like Kalari and July Kaatril. Vaathi/Sir also includes names like cinematographer Dinesh Krishnan, editor Navin Nooli and Avinash Kolla for the production designer forming the core technical team.
