Dhanush's Naane Varuvean is set for its theatrical release this month and the makers are yet to officially announce the release date. However, industry insiders have confirmed that the film will hit the screens on September 29, a day before the release of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. The final leg of post production works is happening in full swing and the film is said to be right on track for release. Naane Varuvean is directed by Selvaraghavan who is reuniting with Dhanush for the fourth time following the success of Kaadhal Kondain, Pudhupettai, and Mayakkam Enna.

The fans have pinned high hopes on this mega biggie that is expected to take a solid opening at the box office. That being said, an exciting development on the release of Naane Varuvean has been known and here is what you need to know. The Telugu distribution rights of Naane Varuvean has been acquired by leading film producer Allu Aravind and he will be presenting the film under his banner of Geetha Arts. The film will have a Telugu dubbed release and the Telugu version of the movie is called Neynay Vasthunnaa. The Telugu version will also release on the same day as the release of the original version.

The film is bankrolled by veteran producer Kalaippuli S Thanu and following his successful association with Dhanush in films like Asuran and Karnan and we can expect the momentum to keep going with Naane Varuvean as well. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for the film and the ace composer has already delivered a super hit song in the form of 'Veera Soora' which released as a first single recently. The rest of the songs from the album would be released soon.
