Following the huge success of Thiruchitrambalam, Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his next film, Naane Varuvean which is slated for release this month. If reports on social media are to be believed, the film is likely to hit the screens on September 29 or September 30, clashing with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan at the box office. The first single song, 'Veera Soora' composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja was released yesterday (September 7) and it has opened to an overwhelming response from the fans and music lovers. The intense and dark-themed song has struck a chord with the fans, making them look forward to the rest of the songs in the album which will be released in the coming days.

Aashirvad Cinemas exclusively produces Mohanlal's films in Malayalam and the company's association with Naane Varuvean will indeed give the film a wider reach among the Malayalam audience in Kerala.
