One of the most awaited films in Telugu cinema this year, the Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer, Dear Comrade, is arriving on screens tomorrow (July 26) worldwide. The film has also been dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada considering both stars enjoy massive popularity in the three states after each of their recent films including their own Geetha Govindam went on to receive tremendous responses from fans. Meanwhile, blockbuster Bollywood director Karan Johar had earlier this week announced that he would be making the Dear Comrade Hindi remake under his Dharma Productions banner. That said, there have been several reports stating a few leading Bollywood actors have been locked for the project, which Karan Johar has now outright denied in an official clarification on his Twitter page. Check out Karan Johar’s tweet below:

An action romantic drama, Dear Comrade has been directed by Bharat Kamma, who is making his directorial debut under the Mythri Movie Makers banner with music by Justin Prabhakaran. Dear Comrade is also the second Vijay Deverakonda film that has now been eyed for a Bollywood remake after his 2017 Telugu blockbuster, Arjun Reddy, was recently remade in Hindi under the title, Kabir Singh, with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles apart from the Tamil remake, Adithya Varma, releasing in September with Dhruv Vikram making his acting debut. The Tamil remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s hit romantic entertainer, Pelli Choopulu, too was announced for a Tamil remake a while back, under the title Pon Ondru Kandein, with Vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah, which is yet to see the light of its day.
