American actress Rhonda Stubbins White, best known for starring in the hit television daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, died after a battle with cancer at her home in Los Angeles. She was 60. The veteran TV actress' manager has confirmed the news to PEOPLE, with the outlet reporting that she passed away due to cancer. The New York Post has reported that White was diagnosed with cancer. A friend of White had posted a comment on the actress' Facebook page announcing the sad news and wrote, "To the friends of Rhonda: It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear friend Rhonda Stubbins White. She was an amazingly talented woman, full of positivity and energy, and grounded by her faith. We were all fortunate to have known her and shared her short time on this earth."

As per White's Facebook page, she attended the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied acting. She had made appearances on several notable TV shows and films during the course of her long career that included Sunset Park (1996) and Land of Plenty (2004). According to her IMDb, she made her television debut in an episode of the NBC show Here and Now in 1992 as the character Helen Jameson. White landed her first nomination the next year at the CableACE awards for her performance in the HBO miniseries Laurel Avenue

Rhonda Stubbins White's career took off after starring in Diana Ross' Out of Darkness in 1994. Later in 2000, she appeared in a recurring role on Days of Our Lives in which she played the role of Lady Vi in a 17-episode arc. Some other shows she has appeared on include series like Charmed, ER, Shameless and The West Wing. White’s most recent role was two years back on Tyler Perry's BET+ original series Ruthless in which she played the role of Agnes.
