Pavithra Lakshmi's mother passed away seven days back, the Cooku with Comali star revealed in an emotional statement on Tuesday. The popular young Tamil model and actress took to Instagram to pen a heartbreaking note in her memory and spoke about she had undergone several health difficulties over the last five years. Calling her mother a superwoman, Pavithra wrote, "It's been 7 days. I am still trying to wrap my head around this. It's been a week since you left me papa. I still don't understand why you had to leave me so early. All that I can think now to console myself is that all those five years of struggle and pain and agony you faced will no longer be there in the place you are. You ve always been a supermom, super woman actually. (sic)" The Cooku with Comali star goes on to tell how she was raised single-handedly by her mother and said, "To be a single parent wasn't an an easy job but you aced it all ways. I really really wish I can see you once talk to you once eat your food once. But u left me with no choice. All I can ask for now is be by my side always please. A million thanks to everyone who stood by my side as my chosen family during this, If not for you all I don't know what I would have done. (sic)"

Pavithra also mentioned how her mother was fond of musician Adithya Rk and cinematographer Vignesh Kumar R B and said, "And @adithyark.music adi you were her most favourite in her last days, she always chose you over me or anyone and Thank you for making her laugh on the days I failed, thanks to you and @vigneshkumar.rb for being the sons she never had. She will forever keep blessing you both abundantly.. (sic)" Concluding her statement, she then informed that she's still trying to get back on her feet saying, "Extremely sorry for not responding to calls or messages, I'm still processing this entire thing. Will get back when possible (sic).
