Valimai is one of the biggest ventures to be coming out in Tamil cinema in recent times, with the anticipation for the film sky-high ever since it was announced in 2019. Initially planned for a release in 2020, production suffered a delay due to the pandemic and lockdowns, and subsequently, the wait for an update among fans also got prolonged in the process. Promotions for the Ajith-starrer have been on point and the high-octane Valimai trailer released last week has taken social media by storm. The trailer has given a detailed glimpse at the action feast fans can expect in theatres in less than two weeks.

Ajith has teamed up for the second consecutive team-up time for Valimai with H. Vinoth, Boney Kapoor, and Yuvan Shankar Raja after 2019's blockbuster Nerkonda Paarvai. The film also has Kaala fame Huma S. Qureshi, who has been cast as the female lead, with Telugu actor Kartikeya playing the villain. Valimai includes a talented supporting cast among whom are Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, Bani, Sumithra and Achyunth Kumar and fans are hoping that Ajith will deliver yet another blockbuster after his last two films - Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai
