Mahaan is an Indian action thriller directed by Karthik Subbaraj and is set to release on February 10. It stars Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram in the lead roles. The movie is to be released on Amazon Prime Video and it will be Vikram's first OTT release. Character posters for all important characters have already been revealed and it got a good response from the audience. Vikram is expected to take on the role of that of a gangster while his son plays Dada, a cop. The teaser and short promos which have been dropped so far, have garnered great reception from the audience. So therefore it is safe to presume that the trailer if ever released, will surely make waves.

Meanwhile, a new song titled 'Pona Povura' just dropped and it gives off a different vibe compared to its previous releases- Soorayatam and Evanda Ennaku Custody. This breakup song, as per the director himself, is a slow-paced song where sorrow and grief are being conveyed to the girl who dumped him. He explains that he is unable to let go of the girl after she has left but also does not know how to cry now that she has left. The promo video that the team had uploaded on YouTube features a potential easter egg. It is safe to speculate that the song in the movie is to take place at night time with a bunch of locals sitting around a campfire.

The promo video itself is great. It is shot entirely on an iPhone and takes us, the audience, all around the office while getting introduced to the team behind Mahaan specifying the role they play in the making of this flick. Karthik Subbaraj also makes a cameo appearance for split-second so make sure you don't blink. The song itself is very catchy and might make your shoulder shrug up and down and it is no surprise if it ends up turning a few heads.
