Following a three year long journey, Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra has finally come to an end. Yes! Cobra which went on floors in 2019 has touched its finish line and the makers shared the news on Twitter, taking the fans by happiness. The team celebrated the wrap up with a cake-cutting ceremony in the presence of Vikram, Mirnalini Ravi, and the entire crew. The film is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame and the young filmmaker seems to have executed a big scale action thriller in style. Ajay Gnanamuthu took to his official Twitter page to share his happiness about the completion of Cobra.

Sharing pictures from the event, he wrote, "IT’S A WRAP!! Close to 3 years of filming comes to an end!! My sincere thanks to #ChiyaanVikram sir ❤️ and my entire team who trusted me, sailed through all the struggles and difficult times with me and believed in the vision of #Cobra !! Forever indebted to each one of u! 🤗 🤗 ❤️". Now that the full shooting is completed, the team will shift their focus towards the post production and get the film ready for a grand theatrical release soon. According to reports, Cobra is slated to release in theatres during the summer of 2022, but an official word on the same is awaited.

Produced by Mahaan producer Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, Cobra has Chiyaan Vikram and Srinidhi Shetty playing the lead roles, with former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan playing the main antagonist, making his debut as an actor. Anandaraj, KS Ravikumar, Mirnalini Ravi, Miya George, and Roshan Mathew play the supporting roles in this action drama which has Vikram appearing in multiple makeovers. A.R.Rahman scores music for this biggie and the ace composer's single, 'Thumbi Thullal' has turned out to be a big hit among music lovers. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film has cinematography by Harish Kannan and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.
