Britney Spears just recently married her longtime partner Sam Asghari at a Southern California ceremony that came months after the international pop superstar won her freedom from a court conservatorship. The wedding happened nine months after the pair were engaged and nearly seven months after Spears’ conservatorship ended. While seeking an end to the court case that controlled many aspects of her life, Spears expressed her desire to marry Asghari and have children.

The wedding day was not without unexpected drama as her first husband, was arrested after attempting to crash their wedding. The wedding on Thursday (July 9) was interrupted her ex-husband gatecrashed the party when Spears and her partner Sam Asghari were getting ready for their wedding at her luxury pad near Los Angeles. The accused has been identified as a Jason Alexander, a childhood friend to whom the Britney was very briefly married in 2004. He crashed the sun-soaked event and apparently live-streamed his invasion on Instagram, with footage showing him telling a security guard he had been invited.

“She’s my first wife, my only wife,” said Alexander, who was briefly married to Spears for a duration of just 55 hours back in 2014. "Where's Britney?" he can be heard saying. Later as he walks into a pink tent festooned with flowers, he identifies himself and says: "So here's the inside scoop, guys, on the bullsh*t wedding". Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Cameron Henderson said officers responded to a trespassing call on Thursday at around 2 p.m. He says the man was identified as the pop singer’s first husband, Jason Alexander, who was detained at the ceremony's site.

Sam Asghari and Britney Spears met in 2016 when they co-starred in a music video for her single 'Slumber Party'. After announcing their engagement late last year, Britney Spears frequently shared pictures with Sam on her Instagram profile. The couple said last month that the surprise pregnancy they had announced only weeks before had ended after experiencing an unfortunate miscarriage in March. Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons, ages 14 and 15.
