The next film in the worldwide blockbuster James Bond franchise, tentatively titled Bond 25, is currently being filmed at Pinewood Studios in London where a shocking incident in the form of a “controlled explosion” was caused leading to the damage on the exterior of the 007 Stage. Being directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, a statement was issued on the film’s official social networking pages saying there were no injuries on the set with the exception of one crew member outside the stage, who sustained a minor injury.

Reports state a part of the roof was taken apart including several wall panels after a triple blast had hit the set during the stunt sequence which had gone awry. Bond 25 has been mired with a lot of problems every since production kicked off including the film’s lead star, Daniel Craig, who suffered an injury last month during filming at Jamaica. Reprising the role of the British super spy for the fifth time, the actor now 51 had to undergo a minor ankle surgery followed by two weeks of rehabilitation.

Announced to come out in theatres on April 8, 2020, Bond 25 includes Academy Award-winning actor Rami Malek playing the antagonist along with Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen as additional new cast members and, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris and Jeffrey Wright returning to their roles from the previous James Bond films.
