After Delhi Ganesh and Shraddha Srinath, the latest to join Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai is dancer cum actress Rukmini Vijayakumar (Of Bommalaattam fame). The first schedule has already kickstarted in Ooty and the actress is also a part of it. Karthi will be playing the role of a pilot who will fall in love with a doctor (played by Aditi) while on a trip to India.
AR Rahman is the music director while Ravi Varman will take care of the lens. From the first look, it looks like the film will be an intense love story with a war backdrop. The film will be produced by Madras Talkies
