Actor Varun has garnered a big fan following over the past couple of months after his entry in Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 and is currently one of the favorites to take home the title. Having played the lead role in the hit 2019 rom-com Puppy, including making appearances in films like Bogan, Vanamagan, Comali, and Seeru, Varun will be seen next as the hero in Gautham Vasudev Menon's highly-anticipated Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha opposite model Raahei Aarav. Produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner, the action thriller is currently in its post-production stages, with the team on Saturday releasing the much-awaited Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha trailer as a Christmas treat for fans. 

Expectations for Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha are huge considering Gautham Menon is foraying into the action thriller genre once again and the visuals in the film's trailer are nothing short of stellar and creates a curiosity for wanting to watch more. Varun will be looking to hit it out of the park with the upcoming film considering he is now at the heights of his popularity due to his stint in the Bigg Boss 5 house. Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha has music by leading South Indian singer Karthik, with cinematography and editing done by SR Kathir and Anthony respectively. The film's technical team also features names like art director Kumar Gangappan, action choreographer Yannick Ben and Gautham Menon's sister Uthara Menon in charge of the costumes. 

Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, which also includes Maari 2 fame Krishna, popular VJ-actress Dhivyadharshini, Mansoor Ali Khan among others in pivotal roles, is expected to hit screens in early 2022, with promotions likely to pick up pace after the New Year. Apart from Joshua, Gautham Menon is currently working with Silambarasan TR for the upcoming Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, which has completed a major chunk of production already. The blockbuster director will also be looking to get his long-delayed spy thriller film Dhruva Natchathiram released in theatres next year. The 'Chiyaan' Vikram-starrer is still at the top of the list of the GVM's fans everywhere, who hope to witness his action feast on the big screen soon.
