In a shocking incident, a video of a former Bigg Boss Telugu actress Karate Kalyani engaged in a physical confrontation with popular YouTuber Srikanth Reddy in the middle of the road has gone viral and has generated a large debate among social media users. Known best for participating as a contestant on the Akkineni Nagarjuna-hosted Bigg Boss Telugu 4 in 2020, Kalyani and YouTuber Srikanth filed complaints against each other with the SR Nagar police on Thursday.

Authorities have stated that Kalyani had reportedly slapped Srikanth on the cheek alleging that he had posted an objectionable prank video on YouTube following which the latter too hit the actress back. It is being stated that the charges leveled against Srikanth are under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) provisions Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman). Srikanth Reddy's allegations against Kalyani, who is known for her appearances in a few Telugu films, are of Sections 323, 448 (house-trespass), and 506 of the IPC. The video of Kalyani and Srikanth trading blows has received a large response, with many debating their actions on social media. In the video, we see an irate Kalyani slapping Srikanth, who also appears to later get beaten up with his shirt completely torn apart.

In the meantime, Kalyani is embroiled in a new controversy over the illegal adoption of a 3-month-old girl child. The Hyderabad Childline 1098 had received a complaint on Sunday and officials conducted an inquiry at her house. According to officials, Kalyani had adopted the girl child, her third, who is reported to have been born recently to a couple in the city. Kalyani, who is said to have illegally adopted the child through her friend, had not answered several calls made by the childline officials.
