After Russia declared war on Ukraine earlier this week, the situation in the Eastern European country has drawn major international attention, with nations continuing to make an appeal for a peaceful resolution to the crisis between the two nations. That said, popular Kannada actress Swetha Changappa has also expressed her worries for a close family member, who had recently moved to Ukraine to pursue her graduation in medicine. Swetha took to her official Instagram handle and posted photos of herself with her family member. In the caption, she wrote, "RUSSIA DECLARES WAR on UKRAINE and our Dearest Honey @suhani_divya_girish went to Ukraine a few months ago to pursue Medicine. When I heard about the War, and there is an emergency situation in Ukraine, I'm just not able to concentrate on anything. All flights have been canceled because of the war. And she is been sent back. Don't know what our Indian government will decide on this. Just want her back home. Hoping for her safe journey back home."

Swetha added, "not able to put my emotions in words here. Her parents our dearest friends @thedrapediva @girish_madhusudhan are very strong parents. But still, as a parent, I know how difficult it is for them and what they are going through. I am in regular touch with them, being a part of each and every situation there, just want to say that they need all your prayers to get honey safe back home." She further wrote about the other Indian students stranded in Ukraine and said, "There are about 20000 INDIAN students there. Hoping for everyone's safe journey back home to INDIA."
