Avatar: The Way of Water is an upcoming epic science-fiction film directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. It serves as the second installment in Cameron's Avatar franchise, following 2009's Avatar. The film boasts an ensemble cast with Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, and Matt Gerald reprising their roles from the original film, while new cast members include Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Michelle Yeoh, and Vin Diesel.

Today (August 6) a never before seen glimpse was released from the highly anticipated film. The official Twitter handle of Avatar shared this along with a caption that read, "Tag the person who always has your back, no matter what 💙 #Jake #Neytiri #AvatarTheWayOfWater ". Check it out:

It features Sully and Ney'tiri looking deep into each others' eyes very much in love which is evident from their gaze. From the caption, one can speculate this might be during a heartwarming scene where both characters are there for each other in times of difficulty. This is just the first of many glimpses that have been released by the makers as they have been giving continuous visual treats from the film in order to create major hype around it which is going as planned. Every single teaser, image, glimpse and snippet have been received incredibly well by hardcore fans of the film as well as the general public. 

Avatar: The Way of Water is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 16 December 2022. Following this, three more sequels have already been given their release dates. Each of the films will be released 2 years apart from one another with Avatar 3 hitting the screens on 30 December 2024, Avatar 4 on 18 December 2026, and 22 December 2028.
