Arya is gearing up for the release of his next film, Captain, which is slated to hit the screens on September 8. The film will have a wide release across Tamil Nadu through the banner of Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. Earlier today (Aug 19), the makers of Captain came up with an exciting announcement, along with a new poster and it has garnered wide attention on social media. It has been revealed that the official trailer of the film will be unveiled on August 22, Monday, morning at 11 AM on YouTube and the update has made the fans look forward to the release. The trailer will give us a glimpse of what the film is going to be about and it looks like an exciting treat awaits fans.

The trailer announcement was made through a new poster which piques our curiosity. We see Arya facing off against a deadly animal and it looks interesting. Captain is directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan who is known for making films with unique concepts and ideas. He has already directed films like Naanayam, Naaigal Jaakirathai, Miruthan, Tik Tik Tik, and Teddy. Captain features Jagame Thandhiram sensation Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead and this will be her next outing in Tamil cinema after Gargi. Ace actress Simran would be playing a pivotal role.

Produced by Arya's The Show People in association with Think Studios, the film has cinematography handled by S Yuva and art direction by SS Moorthy. D Imman has composed music for this action drama that has songs penned by Madhan Karky and Arivu. Pradeep E Ragav has edited the film. Arya was last seen in the Anand Shankar directorial, Enemy which released last year for the festive occasion of Diwali. Arya played the antagonist in this Vishal starrer. Captain will be Arya's first release of this year.
