As the Star Cast for the Ashutosh Gowaikar film Panipat builds up the latest information is that Kunal Kapoor has joined the film and will play the role of Subedar Nawab. This film also marks the return to Kunal Kapoor to the silver screen after 4 years. Producer Sunita Gowariker spoke about the decision to have Kunal Kapoor on board.

She explained his role of Shujuad-Daula is quite prominent in this historical drama. Mohnish Behl and Padmini Kolhapure are the others who will be seen in prominent roles of Nana Saheb and Gopikabai respectively.  This film will depict one of the fiercest battles ever fought in history and features Arjun Kapoor in the lead along with Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt. the film is scheduled to go on floors this month
