The makers of Amitabh Bachchan’s highly anticipated film Jhund have finally released the trailer of their film and it is very moving. It showcases Amitabh Bachchan as a retired sports teacher and takes us along in his journey on how he manages to transform a bunch of slum kids into disciplined football players. The biographical sports film is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer.

The trailer shows us Amitabh's character (Vijay Barse) of that of a football coach, who is adamant about transforming a group of notorious, underprivileged children from difficult backgrounds together in the hope of giving them a fresh start to survive and transform their life. His belief is that the group is not bad at heart. Despite being involved in gang wars and thefts, he thinks that all they need is a sense of direction and belongingness.

He is seen asked to give up as nobody has any faith in his ideas nor in his ragtag group of "footballers". But Barse assures that he can train the group and make them members of the National Football Team. But the group does not take his coaching seriously and engage in their regular gang fights and chaos. The trailer also has a harrowing death scene awaiting the viewers which is bound to get some tears out.

The film is written and directed by Nagraj Manjule, known for directing the critically acclaimed Marathi film Sairat. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni and Meenu Arora under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films.
