Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming movie, under A.R. Murugadoss, Thuppakki, is almost complete; and it is heard that Vijay will play the role of a cop in it. Vijay has earlier played the role of an undercover cop in Pokkiri, which went on to become one of the most successful films in his career. The technical team comprises of Kalaipuli S. Thanu (producer), Santosh Sivan (camera), Harris Jayaraj (music), Jayamohan (dialogues) and Anthony (editing).
Santosh Sivan, has revealed that most of the shots in Thuppakki are canned with hidden cameras in real locations. So now it looks like the film will be a real treat for Kollywood fans. The latest is that the film is likely to grace theatres for Diwali. However, as the movie has been embroiled in a title issue, the case has been going on for a while, and the next hearing is scheduled for September 10th. The latest we hear is that, if the issue is not cleared soon, the makers will still go ahead and release the movie for Diwali, but use an alternate title. We hope all issues are resolved soon!
