Neram and Premam fame director Alphonse Puthren is currently working on his next film, Gold which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Lady Superstar Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film has got high expectations among the fans already and people are looking forward to watching the film. The official teaser of Gold was released recently and it opened to an overwhelming response from the audiences and it managed to pique our interest. The shooting of Gold has been completed and the post-production works are happening in full swing, gearing up for a theatrical release soon.

Like Neram and Premam, Gold is also expected to be a fun-filled entertainer that will cater to the youth audiences. Apart from Prithviraj and Nayanthara, the film also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Lalu Alex, Baburaj, Mallika Sukumaran, Vinay Forrt, Shammi Thilakan, Shabareesh Varma, Jaffer Idukki, Roshan Mathew, Justin John, Deepti Sati, Ajmal Ameer, Saiju Kurup, Prem Kumar, Suresh Krishna, Shanthi Krishna in supporting roles. Rajesh Murugesan has scored music for the film. Meanwhile, a section of media had reported that Alphonse's already announced film, Paattu might be dropped due to various reasons and it lead to speculations.

However, Alphonse took to his official Twitter page to clear the air about the rumour. Alphonse made it clear that Paattu is not dropped and it has been put on hold currently since the film demands more time. The star filmmaker mentioned that Paattu will be a huge leap and hence it will take some more time to get mounted. Alphonse's tweet read, "#Paattu is a huge leap from other works of mine. So I think God or the Universe which god exists in wants me to be develop a few more skills before doing Paattu. It is not dropped... It is in Pause mode. 😃".

Paattu is officially announced to have Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara in the lead roles.
