Thala Ajith Kumar's Nerkonda Paarvai has hit the screens today (August 8) amidst high expectations from the fans and general audience. This H Vinoth directorial is the Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Pink. The reviews for this Ajith starrer has been very favourable and positive so far. Ajith owns a huge fanbase and one doesn't need any introduction to know about it. The fan frenzy has gone to a different level, but in a bad and disheartening way.

Sathyam Cinemas and PVR Cinemas in Chennai opened the advance bookings for Nerkonda Paarvai very late, around 11 PM last night. Probably, the fan who wanted to get tickets in Sathyam might have got irked due to the delay. However, this is definitely not an encouraging act and as Shanthnu says, even Ajith Kumar or any big star will never encourage this act.

On the professional front, Shanthnu has two projects in his kitty. While the first one is Raavana Kottam with director Vikram Sukumaran of Madha Yaanai Koottam fame. This project is said to be a rustic one that is expected to showcase Shanthnu in a different avatar. The other one is the romantic drama, Vaanam Kottattum, produced by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies. Shanthnu shares screen space with Vikram Prabhu, Madonna Sebastian, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and Sarathkumar in this Dhana directorial.
