Director Selva is one of the popular directors in the Kollywood since the 1990s. Selva made his debut with the film Thalaivasal in the year 1992. Selva holds a special place in the industry as he is the one who gave Ajith Kumar to us through his second film Amaravathi. Some of his other notable ventures are Karnaa, Pooveli, James Pandu, Unnaruge Naan Irundhal, Student Number 1 and Naan Avanillai.
Director Selva's Vanangamudi is in the post-production stage and the features Arvind Swamy and Simran in lead roles with Ritika Singh, Chandini Tamilarasan, Nandita Swetha and Ganesh Venkatraman playing supporting roles. The talented director is currently filming the Thutham and his other ventures Naadi Thudikkuthadi and Muriyadi are in the queue.
The latest big news about the director is that he will be entering the small screens and is set to direct a TV serial soon. The Tv serial is titled Run and has Krishna and Sharanya Turadi in lead roles. Krishna who gave a notable performance in the movie Ananthapurathu Veedu and also popular from the TV serial Deivamagal. Sharanya Turadi is also a popular face from the serial Nenjam Marappathillai. The TV series is said to be an action thriller produced by Vikatan Televistas and will telecast on Sun TV.
