Nimisha Sajayan - Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer The Great Indian Kitchen (Malayalam) which garnered wide attention among the public for its impactful content has been remade in Tamil and the first look poster of the Tamil remake was unveiled this morning (January 1), marking the special occasion of New Year. The Tamil remake has also got the same title - The Great Indian Kitchen and the film features the highly talented Aishwarya Rajesh as the lead, reprising Nimisha's character. Rahul Ravindran who had acted in films like Moscowin Kaveri and Vanakkam Chennai plays Aishwarya Rajesh's husband in this film.

The first look poster of the film was released by actor Arya who wished the entire team a grand success. The poster depicts Aishwarya Rajesh as a woman caged inside a kitchen and her face shows the disappointment of being suppressed. Aishwarya Rajesh is a potential actor who can emote effectively and it is going to be interesting to see her performance in this intense film. If the makers have retained the essence of the original version, one can expect The Great Indian Kitchen (Tamil) to be a solid success. Produced by Durgaram Choudhary and Neel Choudhary under the banner of RDC Media, this film has cinematography by Balasubramaniem, editing by Leo John Paul and music composed by Jerry Silverster Vincent.

Savari and Jeevitha Suresh Kumar have penned the dialogues for this film which has lyrics by Kabilan Vairamuthu. The Great Indian Kitchen Tamil is directed by R Kannan who has made films like Jayam Kondan, Kanden Kadhalai, Ivan Thanthiran, and the recently released Atharvaa starrer Thalli Pogathey. The shooting of The Great Indian Kitchen Tamil has been completed and the film is expected to release in early 2022. The makers have also announced that the trailer of the film will be released very soon.
