Adipurush is an upcoming Hindu mythological film based on the world renowned epic story of Ramayana by Valmiki. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced under the banners of T-Series Films and Retrophiles. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film will star Prabhas in the titular role, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. 

Earlier today (September 30), a surprise was given to the fans who are waiting for this flick. It was given by the Baahubali hunk Prabhas himself and it is the official first look poster of the film. The actor took to his official Instagram handle to share this with all his fans and followers. Along with the poster, he also attached a caption to it which read, "|| Aarambh || Join us as we embark on a magical journey on the Sarayu River Bank in Ayodhya, UP. #AdipurushInAyodhya Unveil the first poster and teaser of our film with us on Oct. 2 at 7:11 PM! 🫶 #AdipurushTeaser #Adipurush releases IN THEATRES on January 12, 2023 in IMAX & 3D! He shared 5 posters, each in different languages, meaning Adipurush will be made pan-Indian. The film has been made on a whopping budget of Rs. 500 crores making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever to be made. The film has been scheduled to be theatrically released on 12 January 2023 in standard formats, 3D, and IMAX 3D as well.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Prabhas has two other films in this pipeline. One is Salaar directed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel in which he will be seen sharing the screen with Prthiviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan. The other film is the Nag Ashwin directorial which has tentatively been titled as Project K. Both films are currently in its production phase.
