Malavika Mohanan is a sensational Malayalam actress who has worked with leading actors in a short span of time. She made her debut with the Malayalam language film Pattam Pole as she starred alongside Dulquer Salmaan in 2013.  She then played the female lead in the film Nirnaayakam. She did her Kannada debut with the film Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi and made her Tamil Debut in the 'Superstar' Rajinikanth starrer Petta in a cameo role as Poongodi Malik in the flashback sequence. The actress shot to fame with Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial Master with 'Thalapathy' Vijay as the lead. Her recently released films were Maaran in Tamil with Dhanush and Christy in Malayalam. 

Malavika Mohanan is also part of the upcoming Tamil film Thangalaan that is directed by Pa. Ranjith is part of the Hindi film Yudhra. Recently, a Twitter handle posted that "Malavika Mohanan and Sreeleela has become the front runners for Tollywood star heroes and stated that Malavika Mohanan is currently working with Prabhas and got selected for Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh as the second heroine." The actress Malavika Mohanan has replied to the tweet with a clarification that she not playing the second heroine role in the film. She said “Have so much admiration for Pawan Kalyan Sir but have to clarify I’m not a part of this project. I’m currently working on an amazing Telugu film (as main lead not second) which will be my debut in Telugu cinema, an industry I’m excited to dive into.

The upcoming film of the actress Malavika Mohanan in Tamil has created a huge expectations among fans. From the initial announcement poster of Thangalaan, the film has become the most awaited release of the year. The film is directed by the path-breaking director Pa. Ranjith and has Vikram in the lead role. The statement of the actress on Twitter has increased the excitement of fans who await the announcement of her Telugu debut.
