Actor Ilavarasan alias Arasu, who has seen in films like Onaiyum Aatukutiyum, Siruthai and Saguni, attempted suicide after his wife sent him a divorce notice. He has also written a suicide note to secretary Vishal stating that he was struggling financially as several film producers had not paid him the dues. He was reported to have consumed rat poison but was saved on time. He was rushed to the hospital immediately.
