A film that is creating more and more curiosity every day is the highly-anticipated Thalapathy 67, which will see Tamil superstar Vijay and blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj joining hands once again after their 2021 box office money-spinner, Master. The upcoming venture is touted to be a mass gangster action film and will be produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio banner, which is fresh off the phenomenal success of Varisu released during Pongal and continues to go strong in theatres in Tamil Nadu and several other regions. With Thalapathy 67 set to feature some of the biggest names in Indian cinema apart from Vijay, speculations have been rife for a while now stating that 'Action King' Arjun will be playing a key role in the film, with a new photo of the talented actor-filmmaker now taking social media by storm.

A picture of Arjun has surfaced showing the actor sporting a handlebar mustache and beard similar to 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan in the 2004 blockbuster, Virumaandi. Fans have been sharing their thoughts on Arjun's latest look while complimenting Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has expressed his immense admiration for Kamal Haasan on many occasions. Although there has been no official confirmation so far regarding Ajrun's casting in Thalapathy 67 and several other big names in the film, official announcements are set to come out in the first week of February, and it remains to be seen whether the Mudhalvan actor will be seen alongside Vijay. As of now, the confirmed cast for Thalapathy 67 includes Vijay sharing screen space with Mansoor Ali Khan and filmmakers Gautham Menon and Mysskin, with Trisha Krishnan, Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, and Priya Anand also said to be a part of the film and an official announcement currently being awaited. A formal pooja for Thalapathy 67 is said to have taken place in December last year, which reportedly saw Trisha in attendance alongside some other cast and crew members of the film.
