Singer Tarsame Singh Saini, best known among fans as Taz of Stereo Nation, has passed away. He was 54. According to reports, the 90s pop singing sensation suffered a liver failure after which he went into a state of coma. The official page of Taz's Stereo Nation band had back in March released an update informing fans about the improvement in his health. The note read: "Dear All, Taz Sir is no longer in a coma, He’s showing improvements every day. The family has thanked everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. When there is more positive news, The family will let us all know. Thanks again for your positive thoughts."

Taz garnered a huge fan following after the stupendous success of his 1989 album, Hit the Deck. He also left music fans across the country tapping their feet and shaking their legs with his hit songs like Pyar Ho Gaya, Nachenge Saari Raat, Daroo Vich Pyar, and Gallan Gorian, which were a rage during the early 90s. Tarsame Singh Saini also played an instrumental role in the creation of Asian fushion music, with his work fetching him rave reviews from fans and music critics alike. The news of Taz's demise has come as a major shock for his fans, who have been taking to social media to share their memories of listening to his songs. Condolences are pouring in from leading music and film industry celebrities among whom singer Bally Sagoo tweeted a picture of himself with Taz and wrote, "RIP brother @tazstereonation You will truly be missed." Likewise, Amaal Mallik also expressed his grief on Twitter, saying, "RIP you legend #TazStereoNation."
