The countdown is on and all sights are set on the highly-anticipated pan-Indian biggie, K. G. F: Chapter 2, releasing in grand fashion in theatres worldwide on April 14. A Hombale Films venture produced by Vijay Kirgandur, the upcoming mass action period venture directed by Prashanth Neel starring 'Rocking Star' Yash is the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster K. G. F: Chapter 1, which went on to become the highest grossing Kannada film. Coming out once again in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam languages, KGF 2 is carrying the biggest buzz for a film in 2022, with director Prashanth Neel sitting down for an interview for Galatta Plus with renowned National Award-winning film critic and writer Baradwaj Rangan.

During the interaction, Prashanth Neel was queried about the action and the violence depicted in his ventures, including the KGF films. Upon being asked whether he is expressing all his suppressed feelings with his films, the filmmaker declared keenly with a big smile saying, "I am Anniyan." He explained, "When it comes to the work, there's something that I realized in Ugramm (his directorial debut) on the first day of the film's release, I was so scared that I didn't want to put myself in that situation ever again. So, I worked for every shot. Each shot is important to me. And, I scream and I'm very angry on the sets. Actually, nobody likes me on the sets. I do all of those things because it is required of me to do all that."

When Baradwaj prompts Prashanth asking him, "Even if you feel like saying something softly, do you still scream?", the filmmaker responds by stating, "No, of course not. If the point is going across, I would not do it. But, it becomes necessary at some point in time." When asked by Baradwaj if he's able to do that, Prashanth answers saying, "I do. I do it all the time. With a lot of panache. I won't compromise on the shot. I don't know if I'm right while taking that shot or not. I don't know if it is the right shot. But, we have to get that shot right. So, I have those two sides to me only because I care about that a lot. I have a lot of tolerance when I get out into the real world and I'm talking to people and I'm gentle. But, I don't have tolerance when it comes to my shooting."
