Suresh Ravi, one of the most popular VJs on Sun Music, debuted in Tamil cinema with the movie Adhi Medhavigal. He was last seen as the male lead in Mo, a horror comedy, that was written and directed by Bhuvan Nullan. And now, Suresh is collaborating with his Adhi Medhavigal director RDM, for his next flick.

Touted to be an emotional drama, Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, will play on the relationship dynamics between a common man and a police officer. The movie has the voice artist turned actress Raveena Ravi as the female lead. She's been voicing for many leading ladies in Tamil cinema. She made her acting debut With Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, playing opposite Vidharth.

In a conversation with the media, he's mentioned that he will play the delivery boy and Mime Gopi will be playing the cop. May 22 marks the first anniversary of the Thoothukudi massacre, a police shootout against the protestors last year, 2018. The title look seems to indicate the event as the title of Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban had an animated Police figure firing at a couple of people. KUN is expected to go on floors in Chennai, next week. Apart from Raveena Ravi and Suresh Ravi, the movie also features Mime Gopi, Super Good Subramani, RJ Munna and Sharath Ravi, with Adithyha-Soorya's music and S Gnanakaravel's lyrics. While Vishnu Shri handles the cinematography, Vadivelu Vimalraj handles the editing. The movie is expected to release this year.
