Actor Vishal’s fans are an ecstatic lot after the first look as well as the title for his upcoming film, Action, under Sundar. C’s direction were finally unveiled. With the star also working on an untitled film with debutant director Anand, which many are speculating as Irumbu Thirai 2, another great news for fans has now come out. Reputed director Myskkin, who last directed the smash hit thriller, Thupparivaalan, with Vishal, has now officially kicked off pre-production work on its sequel, Thupparivaalan 2, with location scouting currently being done. To be produced under the Vishal Film Factory, it has further been revealed that director Mysskin will begin shooting for Thupparivaalan 2 in the days ahead with actors Vishal and Prasanna too set to reprise their roles as private detectives Kaniyan Poongundran and Manohar. Released in 2017, Thupparivaalan was loosely inspired by acclaimed British author Arthur Conan Doyle's detective character, Sherlock Holmes, for which director Mysskin had given credits in the opening of the film. Appreciations came in for the film’s racy screenplay as well as deft direction while performances of all stars namely Vishal, Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel, Vinay, Andrea, K. Bhagyaraj, Simran and John Vijay were lauded as well. It now remains to be seen if Thupparivaalan 2 will pick up from where the original left off or whether the upcoming sequel will be centered a new mystery crime.
