Vishal was in the headlines recently for allegedly speaking in favour of the jallikattu ban. This has not gone well with pro jallikattu activists and a group even condemned his comments. They also demanded an apology from the actor. “Vishal has no right to comment on our culture. What does he know about the importance of jallikattu and how it is interlinked with the agriculture structure here? So being a Telugu he might never understand what jallikattu is. We strongly condemn what Vishal has said," an activist was quoted saying to an English news website.
Following this, Vishal has now clarified that he has nothing against the traditional game. "I reiterate I have Nothing against #jallikattu case s in Supreme Court regarding this & it is not rite to comment on something wich lies in court period," he posted on his Twitter page.
