Actor Vikram, lovingly called by his ardent fans as ‘Chiyaan’, went on to win the National Award after his performance in the 2003 blockbuster, Pithamagan. Since then, Vikram has gone on to star in a number of hits and was last seen in the action thriller, Kadaram Kondan, which came out earlier this year. The superstar is at present working on his upcoming film tentatively titled Vikram 58 under Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal director Ajay Gnanamuthu featuring music by Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman. Meanwhile, Vikram’s son, Dhruv Vikram’s debut film, Adithya Varma, has released everywhere today and is reaping in laurels for its power-packed performances as well as for being a faithful adaptation of the Telugu original, Arjun Reddy, which had Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. In light of Adithya Varma’s theatrical release today, Vikram 58 director Ajay Gnanamuthu took to his Twitter page to extend his wishes to Dhruv Vikram for a grand debut. In his statement, Ajay praised Dhruv for his efforts and persistence for taking up a role like Adithya Varma, which is a character that goes through a lot of struggles and pain. As for Vikram 58, the film being produced by Viacom 18 Studios in association with Lalit Kumar’s Seven Screen Studio has been announced to come out in theatres worldwide as an August 2020 release. So far, two schedules on the film have been wrapped up and fans will have plenty to look forward when it comes out next year. There are several highlights in Vikram 58 among which include K. G. F actress Srinidhi Shetty and former Indian cricketer and Left-arm medium-fast bowler and all rounder Irfan Pathan making their debuts in Tamil cinema. However, the biggest highlight is without a doubt A. R. Rahman coming on board as he is collaborating with the star for the first time since I released in 2015.
