In an emotional speech to his fans, Vijay has request Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's guidance in getting the film released in the state. He also raised concern over the increase in number of the pirated DVDs of the film. He also requested people not to encourage piracy and assured that Thalaivaa is a neat entertainer, which will be liked by all class of audience.
