After acting in movies like Chennai 600028, Saroja, Anjaathey, and carving a niche for herself in Kollywood, actress Vijayalakshmi, is currently playing the role of sandalwood brigand Veerappan's wife, in the movie Vanayuddham! A leading satellite channel is planning to launch a new programme called Kabaddi Premier League (KPL), from August 15th, and also plans to introduce a reality show, along with this ladies Kabaddi tournament. The channel also plans to bring in leading K-town actors and actresses to cheer the teams participating in the tournament.
As part of these promotions, Vijayalakshmi was also invited to be on the program, and the shooting happened recently. The players started bombarding Vijayalakshmi with questions, and she also obliged them willingly. However, when they asked about her role in Superstar Rajinikanth's Sultan: The Warrior, she parried it by telling it was a secret! But, the players did not let go of her so easily, and went on asking her questions about the movie, after which she finally relented! She said, "I feel just standing near Rajni sir is a huge boon! Knowing that I have acted a few days with him is really unbelievable. They (Sultan's makers) have said that they will contact me, when shooting resumes, and I am also waiting eagerly for it!"
