He seems to have taken up an interesting premise with Maamanithan which holds a good pre release talk. The highlight aspect of Maamanithan happens to be its music which is composed by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja together for the first time. Super Deluxe fame Gayathrie will be seen playing the female lead, while KPAC Lalitha, Guru Somasundaram, Anikha Surendran, Shaji Chen, Jewel Mary, Manikandan, Ganja Karuppu, and Manasvi Kottachi play supporting roles.

The film is one month away from its release and we can expect the team to kickstart the promotions very soon. Sukumar has handled the cinematography of Maamanithan which has been edited by Sreekar Prasad. Vijay Sethupathi's next release as an actor will be the highly anticipated Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vijay Sethupathi would be seen playing one of the key antagonists of Vikram and his face off against Kamal Haasan is going to be one of the exciting aspects to watch out for. Fahadh Faasil plays the other lead in Vikram which is slated to release in theatres on June 3.

Apart from Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi also has films like Yaadhum Oorey Yaavarum Kelir, Gandhi Talks, Viduthalai, and Mumbaikar in his pipeline.
