Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi was recently seen playing the lead role in director Nalan Kumarasamy’s segment of the Tamil anthology film, Kutty Story. The romantic anthology film is produced by Dr Isari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International and it brought together 4 talented filmmakers - Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nalan Kumarasamy, Venkat Prabhu, and Vijay. Among the four short films, the segments shot by Gautham Menon and Nalan Kumarasamy had received a very positive reception. Talking about Nalan Kumarasamy’s film, it had Vijay Sethupathi and Aruvi fame Aditi Balan in the lead roles. The performances of both the actors were brilliant and Nalan delivered an impressive short film in the given time.

The makers have now released a new deleted scene from the said segment and in this scene, we see Vijay Sethupathi listening to his friend’s inputs to impress his wife. There is an interesting and funny conversation between Vijay Sethupathi and his friend and it holds your attention. There is also an animated graphic visual narration of the story that is shared by Vijay Sethupathi’s friend. It looks like the makers decided to chop off this scene due to runtime constraints. Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial segment in Kutty Story featured Amala Paul, Vinoth Kishan and Gautham Menon playing the leads and it was called Ethirpaara Mutham.

Venkat Prabhu’s directorial segment was titled Logam and it featured Puppy and Joshua fame Varun and Sakshi Agarwal in the lead roles. Logam was a creative film that used motion capture technology and the CG - VFX works were impressive. Vijay’s portion was the most sensitive and intense among the four and it had Megha Akash and Amitash Pradhan playing the protagonists. The film is still running in theatres across the city and those who have missed to watch it, can catch a glimpse of it right away.
