We have already reported that director Sundar C is planning for a big budget extravaganza, which is in the pre-production stage. Going by the reports, the film will be bigger that 2.0 and Baahubali. Titled as Sanghamitra and bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films, the film will be shot in a span of 2 years, and will be made in three languages--Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. AR Rahman has been roped in as the music director, Sabu Cyril for artworks, Aseem Mishra (of Baajirao Mastani fame) for cinematography and Kamalkannan for VFX.
Initially, the team has approached Vijay to play the lead. We hear that the actor was very much impressed with the script, however, since the project required bulk dates, he had to refuse the offer. The team is planning to have a pan-India cast list.
